Why EBELE?

Before I was born my father was given an African baby name book. He used this book to select the perfect name, that held a significant meaning to him. I decide to continue this tradition for this collection by looking for the perfect name in an African name book.
Ebele [Eh-Beh-Leh], an Igbo Nigerian name was the winner the meaning is mercy; compassion; kindness. I see this name as the perfect description of essential workers and all that we encompass. Every day that we attend our positions we show the true nature of the people we are.
The Covid-19 pandemic has only emphasized the great qualities held by essential workers. It is this compassion, kindness and mercy that we allow to guide us through our actions.
So I decided, that Ebele was the perfect name, it is the perfect reminder of why I continue to work despite the downfall and hard days that may arise.
